FINALLY!!

This is Travis Smith of "Chiseled Edge Construction". I'm FINALLY getting my bathroom done after 4 years and 3 months of taking . . . "baths" everyday. Lee had ripped out our shower so nobody would use it - we weren't good about sealing our (tile) shower every year, so we ended up with some problems and he didn't want them to get worse. Sooooo we're getting new counter tops and sinks, fixtures, a new shower (DUH) and new flooring and such - PLUS he fixed my pocket door. This was the first day - "demolition day". I'm so excited I just can't STAND it :)
Carpet, sinks, counter tops and back splash gone. I'll try and keep the progress documented with pictures :)

Homecoming 2008 continued

Chad's little Miss Emily was voted 1 of the 3 senior princesses this year. Here she is sporting her "royal crown" Friday night at the game. When she was a sophomore she was voted THE princess, as well as Chad being voted THE prince - so it was cute that that was the year they ended up going to homecoming together for the first of 3 years now . . . as prince and princess of their class. Emily didn't end up being crowned Queen last night but she had MY vote :)
This is some of the team warm ups (I thought I'd get a few shots while it was still light out) before the big game. Chad is #8 on the other side of #32
. . . and 3rd from the right here.
Here's the happy couple all dressed up (@ Emily's house I believe)
Just think last year at this time they both still had braces on :)

Quite a group huh? Chad and Emily are at the top.
And away they go. I hope they have a fun night . . . and "return with honor" ;)

Homecoming 2008 Begins - Chad's senior year

The senior year has (senior) kids sporting "togas" to school the Friday of the big homecoming game. Here's Mr. Serious before seminary :). I had like 2 seconds flat to fashion a toga at "o-darkhundred", so here's what we came up with, using a white queen size sheet and several safety pins.
The "manly" pose
That's better.

"There's a new girl in town . . ."

Yes, there IS a new girl in town: Miss Addison Jo Kevin FINALLY decided to make her entrance into this world (9-22-08) weighing 8 pounds even and measuring 20 1/2" long. Paige resembles the girl from "The Ring" a bit (the one who crawls out of the well), but she had just had her bath for the night before Emilee, Paul and "baby sister" came home.
The girls helped to frost and decorate a celebratory homecoming cake for the blessed event.
Paige did the left side of the cake (she LOVES sprinkles) including placing the doll representing herself on the cake, and Bailee did the rest.
Paul with his 3 darling daughters
And of course Grandpa coo coo bird, which for some reason downloads in the wrong position - oh well "~
We're so glad that baby Addison is here safe and sound. She's very sweet, is fun to hold, and has big bright eyes.
I didn't get the best pictures because I was so afraid that my camera wouldn't have enough battery power - so of course I went off and left it home on the charger instead of remembering to take it to the hospital . . . ahh senior moments :)

Gracie Stokes - soccer star!!

Here's our little Gracie Lynne ready for her soccer game up in Snoqualmie.
Can anyone spell "animated"?
An action shot - sorry it's blurry, I had to zoom :)
The fan club, sharing a "mis-shapen" fiber one bar from the bottom of Grandma's purse.
Awww . . . . Sisters sharing a laugh ;)
Yep, Em and Paul are STILL pregnant (2 days overdue). Emilee's never been late before so this is a new, not so special, experience for her. She said tonight, this must be her "naughtiest" baby ever, but she's still hangin' in there.

The Newest Soptich Family Member

Here's the new "family picture": Summer, Calley, Tyson and Abby
Tyson was trying to make the same face as Abby
Miss Nellie with Abby
Grandpa with Abby
. . . Yep - Summer survived a few days at Grandma and Grandpa's house and can still smile :). Hopefully she's not scarred for life. You can't see much of Abby here, but she's a cutie!! I'm so glad that I've got a newborn to snuggle with again - that's one of my absolute FAVORITE things in the whole world . . . and I'll soon have TWO (when Paul and Emilee's baby decides to make HER debut)!! Life just doesn't get any better than that ")
