Chad's soccer and Tulip Run 4-5-08

Chad is playing soccer this year for (first time since 5th grade - he's now in 11th grade) good old Cedarcrest High School.
Go # 3!! I'm so proud! This last weekend Nellie and I went up to Oak Harbor to run in the Tulip Run - a 2 mile race. Here we are with Dustin and Sarah the morning of the big run. Kyle and Amanda also ran, along with Dustin's friend, Russ.
Here we are AFTER the run sporting our cool new shirts :) . . . . . and #'s - Good times and great "oldies" . . . at least ME ")

. . . with a ROOF ROOF here . . .

. . . and a roof roof there

here a roof, there a roof, everywhere a roof roof
Yes, they started today - our neighbors struck a great deal price wise, so we decided to join the ranks and have our old fire hazard roof replaced. We are the 6th house in our culdesac that they've done in the last couple of weeks. It's very noisy, but they work fast so I'm sure this will all be done soon . . . then on to the NEXT project. It's heck to get old . . . even for a HOUSE :)

Billy and Kaisa's special day / You've Had a Birthday Shout Horay!

The Happy CoupleHere is MOST of the group that were there at the temple to support Kaisa and Billy. You'll notice my Dad is missing . . . he was down in the cafeteria getting "a bite to eat" - he's a funny funny guy.
After the temple, since nobody came to my Black Panther Party (I take that back, Uncle Danny and Anna came), we had our family birthday celebration for the months of March and April. Ryan had to work so he wasn't "celebrated", but everyone else was :) . Here is Billy, Emilee, Scott, Tanner and me.
Look at all that SMOKE!! Group effort on blowing out the candles.
Summer me and Paige. Paige wanted to watch Open Season but was "scared" so she kept putting my hand over her eyes so she couldn't see. I look so tired - I shouldn't have put this picture on - oh well, I WAS tired :).

Here Comes Peter Cottontail . .

Here's Paul and Em's family . . . AFTER church - Paigey was tired.
Tyson and Calley's fam
Calley hanging out with the "crazies"
Ryan stealing the boys candy - cute basket huh?
On the hunt . . .
We didn't get pictures of the rest I guess. Sometimes when the craziness is over I realize that - oh well . . .there's always next year :)

The Little Red Hen Strikes Again!

Gracie was in a play at school - The Little Red Hen.
Gracie was the cat of course. She did a great job. It was a very cute play!

Paintballing

Tyson and Tanner in their "camo" get up.Summer at her finestYep :)

Misc. stuff :)

When Scott does laundry it always cracks me up. I try to get to his "whites" load because that's my opportunity to retrieve all the "stolen goods" - you see, when Scott NEEDS to do laundry and doesn't really feel like it he just goes into the other male bedrooms and "borrows" the items he needs (mostly socks), so I HAD to finally take a picture of just how many pairs were in this one load. . . it looks like there were 8 pair of Lee's socks, 3 pair of Chad's, 20 pair of Scott's, and a few "stragglers" - which is what the boys do when they're too lazy to go upstairs to get socks (and there aren't any in their clean clothes bins) - they grab whatever is in the "mismatched bin" (they aren't fussy, they've worn women's socks before - it's true) and make it work :) Jen and Ryan brought one of their cars down for the kids to play with (along with the Firetruck of course) while the guys, Nellie and Sarah, went paintballing.
