"The CHIEF" goes bald!!

Lee volunteered to have his head shaved, out of sympathy, and in an attempt to raise $ for Rona's (office tech. for Eastside Fire and Rescue) cancer treatment/travel expenses for family and etc. Here he is with Sandy (payroll clerk) giving him a mohawk. There were 70 fireman that had their heads shaved - overall there was $5,000.00 raised for this cause. $1,773.00 was the winning bid to shave the "Chief's" head from station #73, C shift - C shift started the job . . .
f. . . and a volunteer hair dresser finished the job.
Lee with Rona
Bailee, Baldy Grandpa and Paigey. Notice the girls' hands on the bald head. I thought Paige would freak out when she saw her Grandpa because sometimes she's . . . a little "sensitive", but it only took a few minutes and she was fine.

Scotty Boy turns 21!!

Scott with his birthday dinner request of hamburger gravy over mashed potatoes, with "Jesus" rolls (potato rolls).
Scott making his birthday wish. His cake was a cheesecake which is difficult to decorate :)
. . . and he blew out ALL of his candles at once. I guess his birthday wish will come true.

Aunt Mary Is STILL a KICK in the Pants!!

Thursday Grandma Barrett and I went to see Aunt Mary (Grandpa's sister) in Gig Harbor. She just turned 90 years old. I have such fond memories of visiting her when I was growing up - she made the BEST blackberry pie in the world, and was so much fun! That's where I learned to play Yahtzee and pool, and she always had candy dishes WITH candy in them - which is always a drawing card to young kids. It's nice to know she's still a kick in the pants. Grandma and I were able to have lunch with her in the dining room that day. YUM!
Here's Aunt Mary talking to her "little boy" (Grandpa Barrett) on the phone since he wasn't able to come.
This isn't such a great picture of either one of us but - what can I say? It was a fun day. Aunt Mary reminds me a lot of Grandpa Barrett in her mannerisms.
Our "camo crew" before another big "stand off". Just thought I'd throw that one in at the end since I only had 1 picture ")

Life In The FAST Lane (part 2)!

A kiss goodbye for Grandma Barrett from Tanner :)

Life In The FAST Lane!

Grandma Barrett FINALLY came for a visit so we went up for a tour of Emilee and Paul's house, and then . . .
Up to Snoqualmie to see Jen and Ryan's house (and kids). Then we got out the bikes and CARS. It was so much fun! Grandma Barrett ALMOST "thoroughly embarrassed herself", she was laughing so hard.
We had a hard time trying to keep Jen out of the cars. Tanner is humoring her here :)
Look at their cute faces - FUNPaige and Braden were so cute - they looked like they were on their way to Prom or something. As Braden screeched all over the place Paige just sat there, "calm as a cucumber", like she was going for a Sunday drive or something. Here is a little exhibit of some of Braden's "tricks" while he's driving. Pretty good huh?
