4th of July - Carnation style

Jen didn't want to wait through the forever long line for face painting so she brought Gracie back and did it herself. Thank heavens for all her experience through Clowns Unlimited as a face painter :).

Well let's see. . . the 4th started with Tyson and I running the 5K. I believe this was his first organized race - good job Tyson (go to their blog for pictures of that)! Nellie has run this with me the last 3 years, but she was at EFY this year, so Tyson filled in nicely. We looked quite "stunnishing" in our matching "Run For The Pies" t-shirts the rest of the day ;). Next was the BBQ with the Quist's. . . always lots of good food :)

We went to our "secret location" to watch the fireworks. We didn't take chairs so Scott's truck provided seating.
And of course the fireworks show was beautiful, as always!
