Today was Nellie's registration for good old
Cedarcrest High School, and
HOLY COW was it ever a ton of $! See receipt below . . . that's right, a
whoppin' $302.00
AND another $21.00 for pictures (for a
small package)!!! I took $300.00 in cash with me and thought I'd have plenty - but when it came time to pay, I had to dig into my purse for
another $2.00! I'm glad that I only have 1 child left in school. If things would have cost that much back when I had
several kids in school, we wouldn't have been able to afford it - and that's for
public schools.
SHEESH!!! Good luck to those of you with young kids - I can only imagine how much things will cost by the time
they're in High School.

My favorite part is at the bottom of the receipt where it says "Go Red Wolves!" right after they have taken you for everything!

I noticed the "Go Go (Gadget) Red Wolves" too. That's kind of ironic.
I had a similar feeling yesterday...Camden was picking out shoes and upon checkout declared 'Wow, mom...those were actually on sale! Good deal!" Ummm, yes my dear $48 dollars vs $55 is a SCREAMING deal for sneakers for a 3rd grader...grrrr :)

Sounds like my folks had a great time with Connie & Mark camping this past week...they were so tuckered out I couldn't even lure dad over for a visit with homemade pound-cake and fresh berries! They were beat! :)
