Right now we're in the process of residing our house, which means that, obviously, we'll need to paint soon. So I ran to the paint store and bought some pints of paint so I could visualize a little better. I'm wondering if this lighter green on the left, which will be the "accent color" (#1488, sage mountain) looks better with the darker green (Benjamin Moore color #1491,
aegean olive), or the medium green (#1490, country life)? I realize that my colors didn't really come through in the pictures very well, so it's difficult to see what it
really looks like - sorry! I tried it
with the flash and
without the flash but it didn't seem to make much difference. I'm pretty sure that I like the darker color (top/right - the medium color is on the bottom). I figure that if you're going to go to the trouble to paint 2 different colors, people might as well be able to
tell you've done 2 different colors, rather than wonder, or not notice at all. Our trim color will be a cream color, and our door will be red (#AF-300, dinner party). Let me know what YOU think if you have a minute.

OK young lady. I'm beginning to think that you view me as a quack or something. Maybe you don't trust my opinion? Just be brave and go for it.
Love the colors! (Either green looks beautiful to me and will be a very noticeable change). I especially love the RED door. I did that to Annie's house and I hope to give the house we're painting now a red door! Go for it!
I love dark houses with white trim. It looks so pretty, so I vote for the daker one.
Since I don't know anything about design, I'll sit this one out. But if I was going to pretend like I knew things about design, I would agree with whatever Jen said.
And I was driving to my counselor's house and noticed that her house is very similar in color to what you will have. Red door and all. Maybe you should come up and I can take you by.
I love the darkest color, with the medium one being my second choice. The red door is going to look great--can you imagine how fabulous that's going to look at Christmas?
